Lions represent England at ISKA World Championships, Ukraine

Held alongside the ISKA European Matt Sports Championships was the ISKA Ring Sports World Championships.

Ellie Harber (age 12) and Emilia Azarova (age 10) having successfully achieved Bronze Medals at the European Championships marched forward to the Ring Sports World Championships.

Their paths led them to the final day of the competition and both met home fighters from the Ukraine in the finals of their respective categories (Ellie -45kg / Emilia -39kg).

Emilia fought Daria Shliakhturova, a popular girl in the Ukrainian team and a very active fighter. Emilia threw her everything into this fight and at the end of the bout the judges scored a split decision win to the Ukrainian fighter. A great bout that see's Emilia take home the ISKA World Championships Silver Medal.

Immediatey up next was Ellie Harber (ENG) Vs Sofia Smetana (UKR). Sofia started strong in the first round and took it on points before Ellie's power and cardio over turned the momentum taking rounds two and three to be crowned the 2018 ISKA WORLD CHAMPION!

7 other fighters represented England in these World Championships and the medal table was a good on at the Worlds.

6 x Gold
1 x Silver
1 x Bronze

Lions March Interclub

March 3rd 2018 see’s the first home interclub of the year.

All of our interclubs are light contact (40% power) technical, we have had children as young as 4 years and adults up to 54 years old doing these either for fun, to test themselves or to start the next step of their Muay Thai journey.

We also have some boxing on display this day.

We will be speaking to people in the coming weeks about having their first go!
